The Tun series was conceived by Malt Master David Stewart, who was so inspired by the magical atmosphere inside Warehouse 24, that he wanted to capture the essence of it in a bottle. This was achieved by marrying selected casks from the warehouse in a large wooden vat (or "Tun"), for a period of three months, and each batch has its own unique characteristics depending on the cask selection used. Batch #9 was exclusively for the United States and is extremely limited in quantity. It was bottled in 2013 and is a marriage of 11 traditional whisky casks and three Sherry Butts.
