This private label single barrel selection was bottled by Julian Van Winkle III for the Village Pub in Woodside, CA.
The Village Pub—specifically, Tim Stannard—participated in Julian’s private barrel program for several years with at least four different bottlings on record.
The whiskey from this very first release is confirmed Stitzel-Weller distilled from 1985. Per the label, it wasn’t bottled until 2002 which actually makes the bourbon slightly over 17 years old despite the “15 Summers Old” tagline on the label.
